Dermal Fillers

The Benefits of Fillers

The aging face has many common changes that are easy to spot. Over time, the face loses bone and collagen while fat pads thin, separate, and redistribute to other areas of the face. As a result, facial balance, proportion, and symmetry found in a youthful face becomes distorted.

Signs of facial aging include:

  • Bony features, lines, and wrinkles are more visible

  • Forehead lines become more prominent

  • Temples and Cheeks hallow

  • Crow’s feet and sagging occurs around the eyes

  • Folds and wrinkles appear around mouth

  • Cheeks flatten

  • Jawline sags

Dermal fillers are very helpful in patients with volume loss related to bone, collagen and fat pad degradation. With precise injection and placement, dermal fillers can:

  • Plump and enhance lip shape and moisture

  • Soften facial folds/wrinkles and provide a more youthful appearance

  • Provide lift by replacing lost volume

  • Enhance facial contour by sculpting & shaping

  • Help rebuild collagen & elastin

  • Improve the appearance of recessed scars

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a clear, gooey substance naturally produced by your body, with half of all HA production occurring in the dermal layer of your skin. This substance acts like a sponge, attracting 1000 times its weight in water, to keep your skin and tissues hydrated and supple.

During your 30’s the skin begins to mature, moisture and elasticity is lost and wrinkles form. Skin moisture loss increases as your skin produces less Hyaluronic Acid and existing HA starts to degrade. HA dermal fillers are made up of gel hyaluronic acids that help diminish facial wrinkles. These fillers can help add lost volume, create contour, and repair other imperfections.

FDA approved HA fillers include:

◆ Juvederm

◆ Restylane

◆ Belotero

◆ Versa

HA fillers typically last between 6-12 months on average, as your body gradually and naturally absorb the particles.

Bio-stimulants/Collagen stimulators

Collagen stimulators treat one of the major underlying causes of aging skin - loss of collagen. Collagen stimulators are injected into different layers of the skin, replacing the areas of collagen loss and adding volume and fullness. Collagen stimulators help the body regenerate lost collagen over time. These fillers typically last longer than their HA counterparts due to their mechanism of action. Duration can be two – three years with yearly top-offs as they are metabolized gradually and have the added benefit of collagen stimulation which improves skin texture and tone.

FDA approved collagen stimulators:

◆ Radiesse

◆ Sculptra

◆ Bellafill

Are you getting 8 hours of sleep but still look tired? This procedure uses filler to diminish hollowing under the eyes, which can often be attributed to aging or genetics. The results include a refreshed, more awake look. Often, cheek (midface) filler is also needed to

achieve a natural result.

Lip Plump

Starting at $800+

Whether you want subtle volume or significantly fuller lips, we are confident we have the right treatment for you. We will decide together which filler is best for you based on your goals. Numbing cream is provided prior to treatment. A dental block and/or laughing gas

can be added for improved comfort.

Lip Hydrate / Anti-Aging Filler

Starting at $800+

Filler is used strategically to hydrate the lips and soften vertical lines around the mouth. We lose volume in our lips over time, which can often add to an aging appearance. This treatment will immediately give your lips that youthful, structured shape you used to have!

Chin Augmentation

Starting at $900+

As we age, we lose bone and soft tissue in our lower face. Filler is used to augment and anti-aging the chin, giving shape and definition to the face, as well as improving and balancing the profile. changes to the nose. If you’re looking for big changes, we will most likely refer you to a facial plastic surgeon.

Are you new to Remedy Aesthetics & Rejuvenation and have something else in mind? Let’s talk about it! Remedy Aesthetics & Rejuvenation Aesthetics is known for creating customized anti-aging programs for each of our patients.

We offer a variety of options to help you achieve your desired goals.

What is Filler?

Remedy Aesthetics & Rejuvenation specializes in both hyaluronic acid and bio-stimulant fillers. The use of fillers are known to eliminate wrinkles, plump and hydrate lips, replace volume loss, improve scar depressions, and volumize creases and folds of the face. As we age, our skin becomes more susceptible to wrinkles and fine lines, especially due to sun damage and muscle movement. Facial fillers provide a solution to such damage through facial injections.

How much does Filler cost?

Because everyone’s needs are different, and with such a wide variety of treatments involving filler, a personal consultation is the best way to establish cost. With that in mind, filler treatments start at $650. This cost not only reflects the price of the product, but also the skill, knowledge and expertise of the medical injector. We do not price match.

When will i see results?

Results are visible immediately after treatment. The healing process then begins which involves swelling for about 3-7 days depending on the amount injected, area injected, and how your body reacts to the procedure. The product then settles and you’ll enjoy your final results about 2-3 weeks after injections. Please give yourself a minimum of 2 weeks before any events or vacations in case of residual bruising and swelling.

How long do results last?

Duration of filler treatments differs from person to person and from treatment to treatment. Because the product is being injected into the body, some bodies may metabolize the product faster than others. See below for average duration based on treatment:

  1. Cheek Filler: 9-18 months

  2. Under Eye Filler: 6-18 months

  3. Lip Filler: 6-12 months

  4. Hand Filler: 9-18 months

  5. Lower Face Filler: 9-18 months

  6. Neckline/Tech-Neck Filler: 6-9 months

  7. Jawline Filler: 9-18 months

  8. Chin Augmentation: 9-18 months

  9. Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty: 9-18 months

  10. Nasolabial Fold (Smile/Laugh Lines) Filler: 6-12 months

  11. Earlobe Filler: 9-18 months

  12. Temple Filler: 6-12 months

  13. Sculptra: 2-3 years

How many treatments will i need?

Facial fillers are a temporary solution, and therefore to maintain results, treatments will need to be administered on a recurring basis.

Will I need time to recover?

Bruising and/or swelling is very possible and expected. Please plan your treatments at least 2 weeks prior to any events/vacations.
